Clinical And Experiment Studies On Juvenile Bronchial Asthma Treated With Xiao Chuan Pill

Objective: To observe the clinical and experiment effect of Xiao Chuan Pill(XCP) and investigate the treatment mechanism to bronchial asthma and probe into the management method and prescription by the theory of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and clinical and experiment studies. Methods: 90 children with asthma are randomly divided into 2 groups, treated with XCDW and Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine respectively, observing change of the children'syndrome, physical sign and laboratory examination. Using mouse and guinea pig, TXB₂, 6-Keto-PGF_1α are examined in experiment study, comparing with blank group and Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Bricanyl group. Results: Clinical study showed XCDW can alleviate syndrome and physical sign of the children and its total efficiency is batter than Bricanyl group. Experiment study showed the treatment of XCDW is similar to or batter than Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Bricanyl in dissipating phlegm, relieving asthma and arresting cough. Conclusion: XCP can dissipate phlegm, relieve asthma, arrest cough and resist inflammation effectively. It is an effective medicine to juvenile bronchial asthma, batter than Bricanyl remarkable.
