Etiology Of Chronic Pancreatitis Inchina

Objective: To investigated etiology of chronic pancreatitis. Methods: clinical materials of 30 cases of chronic pancreatitis in Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University from 1997 to 2004 were retrospectively analyzed. Result: there were heavy drinking for over 5 years in 43.3%, biliary calculi in 20.0%, and history of acute pancreatitis in 6.7% of the patients ;Both heavy drinking and biliary calculi were found in two patients; six patients couldn't find any related factors. Conclusions: wheather biliary calculi is the main etiological factor can not be confirmed .we need further investigation in patients with definite CP under the strict diagnostic criteria , excluding probable and possible CP.
