Objective: To observe the anti-aging effects of extract of Lonicera edulis. Methods: To divide wistar rats randomly into normal group; model group (D-galactose,48mg/kg/d); ginsenoside group (100mg/Kg/d, D-galactose,48mg/kg/d); large dose group of Lonicera edulis (1.5mg/kg/d, D-galactose 48mg/kg/d);small dose group of Lonicera edulis(0.5mg/kg/d, D- galactose 48mg/kg/d), continuously 40 days, and observed LDH,SDH and LPF. Results: After injection of D-galactose, SOD of brain tissue were decreased (P<0.05 = .MDA content and MAO activity were increased (P <0.05=. Lonicera edulis can increase SOD activity in brain tissue (P< 0.05 = , decrease the content of MDA (P <0.05 = , restrain the MAO activity, after injection of D-galactose, SDH activity was decreased, LDH activity was increased, the shape of Lipofuscin. Lonicera edulis alleviated denatured degree above. Conclusion: Lonicera edulis can retard rats csnility made by D-galactose, restrain the form of lipid peroxid, increase the activity of antioxidase, these may be one of the mechanismaction of anti senility.
