Objective: Our country has already entered the aged society, The question of hyperlipidemia in old people make people pay more attention to it. It is one of the main danger factors of cardiovascular and cerebral vascular disease, such as arteriosclerosis(AS), hypertension, coronary heart disease, etc. How to prevent and cure it has been one of the healthy problems that need to solve urgently at present. In recent years, the relevant evidence has increased about how free radicals, lipid peroxidation(LPO) and hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis(AS) take place and develop, and epidemiology showed that the LPO in the blood of hyperlipidemia patients present positive correlation with TC and TG. At the same time, as the studies of the trace element in the cardiovascular disease deepen constantly, its research has been paid more attention to their relation with the blood lipid and lipid peroxidation. The zinc and ferric are two important but easy to lack trace elements in the human body, and large amount of studies indicate that they have some certain connections with the blood lipid and lipid peroxidation. But these studies mostly were confined to a kind of trace element or a certain respect. With the increasing food and medicines fortified with the zinc or the ferric in the market, the zinc and ferric supplement at the same time is stale. But what influence they will take on blood lipid and lipid peroxidation has not met any reports so far. According to the present situations of old crowds and the character of the food structure, this study selected aged mice for making hyperlipidemia model, and adopted factorial designing method to probe into what influence will take on the blood lipid and lipid peroxidation after supplementing different level of zinc and/or ferric. So as to afford reference and data basis for the hyperlipidemia prevention and the reasonable food model able to improve antioxidative ability. Methods: 80 healthy aged (15 month age) SD mice, including 40 male and 40 female, were divided into 2 groups randomly. The normal contrast group feeding the basic fodder was 12 mice, including 6 male and 6 female. The hyperlipidemia model group feeding the high fat and cholesterol fodder was 68 mice. In the sixth week, detected the level of the serum total cholesterol(TC) and triglyceride(TG) through the tail blood, and confirmed all the mice in the hyperlipidemia model group to be hyperlipidemia (TC or TG go beyond more than 1 times of the average level of the normal contrast group). Detected the level of the serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), serum zinc, serum ferric, serum MDA and serum T-SOD at the same time. Adopting factorial design including two factor three level(zinc:0,12,120mg/L;ferric: 0,250,500mg/L) ,the 68 mice were divided into 9 groups, namely low ferric low zinc group( LFLZ), low ferric middle zinc group(LFMZ), low ferric high zinc group( LFHZ), middle ferric low zinc group(MFLZ), middle ferric middle zinc group(MFMZ), middle ferric high zinc group(MFHZ), high ferric low zinc group(HFLZ), high ferric middle zinc group(HFMZ) and high ferric high zinc group ( HFHZ). Among them five groups( LFLZ, LFMZ, LFHZ, MFAZ, HFLZ) were 8 mice each, the other four groups were 7 mice each. The mice drank the water that supplemented different level of the zinc and/or ferric while feeding the basic fodder. After 6 weeks, injected 1% fifth barbital through abdominal cavities and anaesthetized the mice, then fetched the blood from the arterial carotis, centrifuged for the serum and detected the index as before. Put the mice to death and picked up the liver immediately, made 10% tissue homogeneization with 4℃ physiological saline, and detect the level of MDA, T-SOD, GSH-PX and CAT in the liver. All the data were analyzed by statistical software SPSS 11. 5.Results: 1 After 6 weeks, the mice in the hyperlipidemia model group were all led to the hyperlipidemia by food. The level serum TC,TG in the hyperlipidemia model group were obviously higher than the level in the normal contrast group,...
