Objcctive: Cold syndrome is one of the eight principal syndromes. Excess cold of emmeniopathy is a common disease in clinic. Blood is not only the fundamental of female but also the basic material of menstruation. Cold, in nature, is pathogenic, contraction and coagulation. Cold conjugates with blood easily. Stagnation of blood after attack of cold pathogenic in Chong and Ren Channels and uterus results in menstrual disorder, such as dysmenorrhea, hypomenorrhea, delayed menstruation and amenorrhea, and so on. We studied the the relations between serum 5-HT, β-EP , genital hormones and excess cold of emmeniopathy, and analyzed the change marker of pretreatment and post-treatment with Jiajianwenjing soup , in order to explore the pathogenesis of excess cold of emmeniopathy, and disproof the relations between algogenic substance, analgesia substance, genital hormones and excess cold of emmeniopathy. We made some helpful research for cold syndrome of gynecology.Methods: 60 patients were selected with the standards of excess cold of emmeniopathy, including 34 dysmenorrhea, 7 hypomenorrhea, 11 delayed menstration and 8 amdnorrhea.The oldest is 39 and the youngest is 12, the average is 24.5. The number of married is 39 and unmarried is 21. The longest course is 14 years and the shortest is half a year, the average is 5.21 years. Degree of pain: the number of light is 23, moderate is 31 and severity is 6. In the second morning of the menstrual cycle, 6cc blood was draw from cubital vein in the patients with dysmenorrhea, hypomenorrhea and delayed menstruation. Added anticoagulant, centrifugated, and separated the serum, then preserved the it in the refrigerator, below - 20。C, prepared for measurement. The patients with amenorrhea were collected blood at any time. The methods of collecting blood, collecting time and preserving were same as before. Radioimmunoassay was used to assay the level of FSH(follicle stimulating hormone), LH(luteinizing hormone), PRL(prolactin), E2(estradilo), P(progesterone), T(testosterone)and β-EP(β-endogenous opioid peptides) in serum. At same time, the fluorospectrophotometry was used to analyze the level of 5-HT. The control group was consisted of 30 normal female (normal group), eliminating the patients with cardia-cerebrovaschlar disease, liver and kidney disease, suprarenal gland, thyroid, hypophysis and other endocrine disease, neuropsychosis, hematoligic disease, ect. Compared with the patient group, those were no significant differences . The methods of collecting blood , collecting time and preserving were same as previous. The patients were treatedwith Jiajianwenjing soup (wuzhuyu, rougui, xiaohuixiang, danggui, honghua, wulingzhi, yuanhu, wuyao, baishao, and so on ). One dose (two times) a day for three menstrual cycles. During the observed course , the patients did not take any other herbs and Western drug. On the second day of the fourth menstrual cycle, the blood of patients was collected. The methods of collecting blood, collecting time and preserving were same as before. Results: 1 Comparison of normal group and subject group: ① The content of serum genital hormones: The level of serum FSH, LH and E2 were lower in subject group than in normal group (P<0.05). The content of serum T was lower in subject group than in normal group (P<0.01). The level of serum PRL was higher in subject group than in normal group (P>0.05), but there was no significant differences between the two groups. In normal group, subject group and post-treatment group, no significant differences were observed in serum P(P>0.05). ② The content of serum algogenic substance and analgesia substance:The level of serum 5-HT was higher than in normal group (P<0.05). Compared with normal group, the level of serumβ-EP in patients of control decreased significantly(P<0.05).2 Comparison of pretreatment and post-treatment in subject group: ①After treated, the content of serum genital hormones: The level of serum FSH, LH and E2 increased (P<0.05).
