A Compared Study of Clinical Symptoms in Schizophrenic patients of Weiwuer> Han NationalityObjectives To investigate the difference of the clinical symptoms between Weiwuer nationality schizophrenic inpatients in URMQ and Han nationality schizophrenic inpatients in Changsha.Methods A total of 113 schizophrenic patients who consist of 33 inpatients of Weiwuer nationality and 80 inpatients of Han nationality were randomly chosen in URMQ and Changsha. The clinical symptoms were assessed by Scale for Assessment of Positive Symptoms (SAPS), Scale for Assessment of Negative Symptoms (SANS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD).Results There is no significantly difference in sex, age, course of disease, education, occupation, marry, dosage of antipsychotic drugs in Weiwuer inpatients and Han inpatients. The score of bizarre behaviors and total scores of SAPS in Weiwuer inpatients was higher than it in Han national inpatients (p<0.05). The score of apathy, abulia, attention dysfunction and total scores of SANS in Weiwuer national patients are lower than it in Han national patients (p<0.05). There is significantly difference in the total scores of HAMD in Weiwuer and Han national patients. The score of anxiety/somatization, weight, cognitive disorder, sleep disorder in the factors of HAMD in Weiwuer patients is significantly smaller than these factors of HAMD in schizophrenic patients of Han nationality?Conclusions There are some difference in Weiwuer and han nationality schizophrenic patients due to their national social cultural, religions and life custom. Because of the same nationality who lives in the different area of cultural and religion, the clinical manifestation is also difference.
