Clinical And Experiment Studies On Juvenile Bronchial Asthma Treated With Xiao Chuan Pill

Objective: To observe the clinical and experiment effect of Xiao Chuan Pill(XCP) and investigate the treatment mechanism to bronchial asthma and probe into the management method and prescription by the theory of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and clinical and experiment studies. Methods: 90 children with asthma are randomly divided into 2 groups, treated with XCP, Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Tablets respectively, observing change of the children'syndrome, physical sign and laboratory examination. Using guinea pig, MDAN NO in blood of XCP treatment group are examined in experiment study, comparing with Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Tablets group. Results: Clinical study showed XCP can alleviate syndrome and physical sign of the children and its total efficiency is batter than Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Tablets group. Experiment study showed the treatment of XCP is similar to or batter than Kedimei in resisting spasm and relieving asthma. Conclusion: XCP can relieve asthma, resist spasm effectively. It is an effective medicine to juvenile bronchial asthma, batter than Bricanyl and Composite Carbocisteine Tablets remarkable.
