In this research, through infecting the 35-days-old partridges with the Heterakis gallinae eggs which were infected by Histomoniasis and earthworms collected from the infected area, the best ways to infect partridge with Histomoniasis, clinical and pathological changes after infection, sensitive drugs to Histomoniasis and the effects of curing were explored. The results showed as follows:Thirty partridges in experiment group took 1ml Heterakis gallinae eggs suspension orally, and 30 partridges and 30 turkeys in the control were fed with the diet containing earthworms. The results showed that the incidence of Histomoniasis infected with eggs was 60%, detection rate of Heterakis gallinae was 90%; the partridges infected with earthworms exhibited no clinical symptoms, indicating the infection was failed; but to turkeys infected with earthworms, both the infection rate and incidence were 100%. The results above suggested that the Heterakis gallinae eggs were a better choice than the earthworm when infecting partridges with Histomoniasis; turkeys were more sensitive than partridges when infected with the earthworms by oral.A total of 80 partridges in experiment group inoculated orally 1.0ml embryonic Heterakis gallinae eggs suspension at the age of 35 days, and twenty partridges without inoculation were the control, then the Clinical symptoms, visual pathological changes and liver function of partridges from each group were observed and recorded. The results showed that the clinical symptoms appears in 6th day, and the latent period was 6-8 days, and the symptoms were obvious in 13th days; Visual pathological changes were only found in liver and cecum, characterized by local necrosis in liver, hemorrhagic and Necrotic enteritis and caseation in cecum; liver function changed, except the icterus index changing slightly and GLU declining slightly, the activities of GOT, GPT, -GT, LDH, AKP, and TP all increased.Ninety partridges were infected with Histomoniasis through inoculating embryonic Heterakis gallinae eggs orally, and then dimetridazole and furoxone were used respectively to prevent and treat the disease during the inoculation day, early, middle and later periods of infection. According to the clinical symptoms and liver function, the effects of treatment and prevention were determined. The results showed that the effect of dimetridazole was better than that of furoxone, and suitable for being applied in the early prevention and treatment.
