Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Chaiping decoction in treatment of functional dyspepsia (stagnation of liver Qi with dampness syndrome). Methods:According to the sequence for the treatment,60 patients met the inclusion criteria of functional dyspepsia (stagnation of liver Qi with dampness syndrome) were randomly divided into two groups.30 patients of the treatment group were treated with traditional chinese medicine Chaiping decoction;30 cases of control group were given Domperidone tablets and Omeprazole Enteric-coated Capsules. The two groups were both 4 weeks of therapy, and during the treatment period were not allowed to take other drugs, worked and rest appropriately, and avoided drinking tea, coffee and fasting spicy excitant food, chilled things and so on. The main observation items were the comprehensive clinical efficacy, TCM symptom score, safety indices etc. With SPSS 19.0 statistical software to analyze the related data, draw conclusions.Results:(1) The total effective rate of treatment group was 89.65% and that of control group was 79.31%. There was statistical significance between the two groups of clinical curative effect difference(P<0.05), the treatment group better than the control group. (2) Within group comparison:The TCM symptom score of the two groups before and after treatment were statistically significant (P<0.05). (3) Comparison between groups:There was statistical significance in the total TCM symptom scores of the two groups after the treatment. The comparison of single TCM symptom score in belching and acid regurgitation, insomnia, inhibited defecation was no statistical difference.(P>0.05), the treatment group was better than the control group in improvement of the rest TCM symptom integrals (P<0.05), especially in the improvement of epigastric fullness discomfort, anorexia and eat less, the treatment group had more significant effect (P<0.01). (4) Followed up for 2 months after the treatment, the recurrence rate of the treatment group was 7.69%, that of control group was 26.09%, comparing the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). (5) There was no adverse reaction between the treatment group and control group. Conclusion:Chaiping decoction has the role of soothing the liver and regulating qi, eliminating dampness and harmonizing the stomach. It has a good clinical 1 efficacy for the treatment of liver qi stagnation with dampness type of functional dyspepsia,it can reduce the recurrence of FD, is safety and worthy of further promotion and research.
