Effect Of Herbaceae On The Toll - Like Receptor 4 Signaling Pathway Of Blood Stasis And Colonic Ulcerative Colitis

Objective:To explore the influences of local retention enema of Xuejie(dragon’s blood) combining Diyu(sanguisorbae) as adjuvant therapy on TLR4 and IL-23expression in intestinal mucosa of ulcerative colitis with blood stasis syndrome.To investigatehe efficency and mechanism of Xuejie combining Diyu enema in treating ulcerative colitis with blood stasis syndrome.Methods:A total of 16 ulcerative colitis with blood stasis syndrome randomly devided into two groups:treatment group(n=8) and control group(n=8).Two groups both treat with Mesalazine SR Granules.And the treatment group was given retention enema of Xuejie combining Diyu as adjuvant therapy,once a night,4 weeks as a course.The disease active index(DAI),endoscopic,The total effective rate of TCM symptom effect,the symptom integral,IL-23 and TLR4 leveal were observed between the two groups before and after the treatment.Result:the symptom integral of the treatment group(11.753 ± 2.252) is lower than the control group(5.88±2.532),and the different is significant(P<0.01).DAI of the treatment contro(14.50±1.195)is lower than the control group(6.63 ± 1.187),and the different is significant(P<0.01).The total effective and the total effective rate of TCM symptom effectis higer than the control group,but the differert is not significant(P>0.05).The endoscopically mucosal healing rate was 75% in the treatment group and 62.5% in the control group (P<0.05).Compared with before pre-treatment, the expression of IL-23 and TLR4 is significantly decreased (P<0.05),and the treatment group is more lower than the control group,the different is significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The local retention enema of Xuejie combining Diyu as adjuvant therapy treat patients with active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis with blood stasis syndrome was effective and safe.It can control inflammation reaction and improve mucosa barrier functions.
