Observation On The Short-term Curative Effect Of Chinese Medicine Enema Prescription For Clearing Heat, Removing Dampness, Removing Blood Stasis And Detoxification In Treating Ulcerative Colitis

Background:Ulcerative Colitis is a major involvement,rectum and colon mucosa and submucosa of chronic nonspecific inflammation,belong to the category of inflammatory bowel disease,its main clinical features characterized by abdominal pain,diarrhea,mucous purulent blood,etc.The disease is defined by WHO as the world refractory disease,traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of the disease has good curative effect,Chinese medicine enema in the treatment of UC is one of hot spots research at present.In recent years,Traditional Chinese Medicine enema showed more effective in the management of UC.Objective:To observe the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)drip enema for ulcerative colitis rapid induction to ease and improve symptoms.Materials and methods:This study adopted the randomized,controlled clinical study,collected 75 patients diagnosed with ulcerative colitis from February 2014 to July 2014 in Capital Medical University Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,Jiangsu Province hospital of TCM,longhua hospital affiliated to Shanghai university of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Henan college of Traditional Chinese Medicine the first affiliated hospital and the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine.Those patients were randomly divided into two groups including TCM enema group,and control group.Those groups were separately given traditional enema 150 ml,sulfasalazine suppository 0.5g per day for 28 days.At the same time,those groups were also given mesalazine as foundation treatment for 4g each day.Then SPSS 19.0 statistical software were used to induce relieving rate and assess clinical curative effect,symptom curative effect.Results:This study included 80 patients,and 5 patients fell off.The traditional Chinese medicine enema group had 40 cases,the western medicine control group 35 cases.(1)Each group's DAI points after treatment had obvious statistical significance difference than before(P<0.01).There was no statistical significance difference between each group in DAI points after treatment(P>0.05).And there was statistical significance difference in DAI difference before and after treatment in two groups(P<0.05).(2)Evaluated TCM syndrome efficacy in two groups after treatment,abdominal pain symptom was statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and the rest symptoms had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(3)Compared total symptom curative effect in those two groups after treatment,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Traditional Chinese Medicine of clearing heat and dispelling dampness and dispersing blood stasis and detoxification enema combined oral mesalazine can make UC quickly induce remission,and the effect is better than SASP enema.2.The treatment in UC combined mesalazine and Traditional Chinese Medicine enema had curative effect in improvement of symptoms,especially in abdominal pain.
