Research On The Project Library Establishment Of The Comprehensive Urban Design Of Beibei In Chongqing

With the deepening of China's social transformation and the continuous development of the market-oriented economy, the urban design began to discard the original task-based design and direct to the integration of the design and the implementation. Consequently, the implementation of the urban design gives rise to a wide range of issues. The comprehensive urban design, from a macro point of view, mines the urban character, establish the comprehensive development framework. However, the follow-up design of the comprehensive urban design needs further research.Practice found that only the urban design that conducts from the long-term development, can establish a good urban environment. The urban designs only to meet the accidental or short-time needs will hamper the urban's continuous development. The realization of the comprehensive urban design not only needs to control the continuity of the physical space, but also to guide and control the organization and implementation of the design projects, and guarantee the projects implemented timely and efficiently. This thesis based on the comprehensive urban design of Beibei city, tries to propose the project library which can help to fulfill the vision of the comprehensive urban design. From the content, results and characters of the comprehensive urban design, this thesis will points out the necessity to compile the project library. The characteristics of the plan, organization and management of the project library can ensure the integration of the design goals and the implementation. On the question that how to create a project library, this thesis puts forward the specific points. To the comprehensive urban design of Beibei city, the project library contains four types of projects, which are the urban image-enhanced projects, the urban operation-guaranty projects, the urban public activities-supported projects and the historic preservation and renewal projects. The specific points controlled by the project library includes the basic feathers, the organization, the examination the public participation and the design skills of the project. With the control of the whole process from the start to the implementation, the project library can enhance the efficient of the comprehensive urban design.
