Aids-to-navigation system is an important part of maritime traffic safety security system. On the effective monitoring and management of aids-to-navigation, and ensuring the accuracy of aids-to-navigation information, which is important to meet the needs of providing better service of safe navigation of ships. Analyzing the shortcomings of current aids-to-navigation system and the development of wireless sensor networks technology, the thesis proposes the design of aids-to-navigation remote measuring system based on wireless sensor networks. By Xiamen-Kinmen route's aids-to-navigation as the object of study, the paper establishes the model of ZigBee wireless sensor networks, and uses network simulation software NS2 to analysis the network performance such as the multi-hop network packet loss rate, delay, throughput and energy consumption. The simulation results show that in the case of low network load, ZigBee wireless sensor networks'packet loss rate is very low; end-to-end delay is low and increases steadily with the hops, so you can strictly control the delay; as a result of the use of super-frame structure, the nodes can close transceiver at the non-active district, which can greatly reduces energy consumption, thus proving the feasibility of the system design.The paper introduces the design way of the system's network node module and control center system module. The network node module uses the Samsung S3C2410 processor, and communications module uses the Chengdu LBee series CC2430 and Huawei CM320 modules, to build double-network data transmission method with the use of ZigBee network as the primary network and CDMA as the secondary network. In refer to the software, we use the embedded Linux and the accidental process mechanism to ensure that the whole system can perform continuously and stably, thus enuring the communications networks more stable and reliable, and more accurately data collection and transmission of aids-to-navigation. Control center system software is developed with C# language on the Mirosoft.NET development platform, and using the Oracle 9i database to store and manage the aids-to-navigation data. The last test results of system show that the system realizes the function of remote data collection, transmission and management of aids-to-navigation.
