In recent years,with the aggravation of climate change,environment pollution and growing world energy crisis,the use of renewable energy has been paid great attention by governments around the world,especailly the wind power industry.The wind power has the characteristics of volatility,intermittent and randomness,which leads power fluctuations and bad effect on the overall power grid and voltage stability.Wind power prediction system is designed to solve the problems of wind power.The system collect meteorological data and use statistical method and physical simulation predict power of wind power.The system improve the coordination,efficiency and safety of the wind farm.Now the meteorological data is acquisited independently and upload to the wind tower through GPRS.But because of the wind farm is located in the remote area and has a very large area,the GPRS signal cannot be covered completely.So part of the data can’t upload in time and the wind power prediction accuracy is reduced.In order to solve the problem,this paper designed a wind tower meteorological elements real-time monitoring system based on wireless sensor network.First of all,this paper made a simple introduction of the meteorological monitoring system for wind tower structure,and deeply analysis the key technologies of the system.The system uses ZigBee technology divide the wind tower into different area of wind farms.Each wind tower installed a sensor module to collect data.They also placed routing nodes between the wind towers to send the data to the gateway module.The gateway module is placed in the region where the GPRS signal is good,and used to collect data from the sensor module and send the data to the central station by gprs network.The papers introduces the system’s hardware and software in detail.The hardware design include the sensor module and gateway module design.The modules’ structure adopt the combination of the STM32 and CC2530,and uses CH376 module to increase the function of data storage and backup,and uses CC2591 module to increase the communication distance,and uses MAX3485 module improve the extensibility of the system.Also,the interface circuit between modules are carefully designed.The system’s software design includes two parts,one of them is add a custom function in Z-Stack protocol Stack application layer to achieve the data collection in ZigBee network.Another part is realizing the function of data acquisition,data processing,data storage and protocol conversion based on STM32 hardware platform.The wind tower meteorological elements acquisition system designed by this paper has characteristic of good expansibility,great capacity of data storage,great adaption and low cost.It can provide comprehensive prediction and real-time meteorological wind farm data collection for wind power,which improves the performance of the existing system and the accuracy of the wind power prediction.
