As a new-style highway maintaining equipment, synchronous pavement surface dressing equipment is used more and more widely today. The asphalt spraying accuracy is an important factor in evaluating the performance of this equipment. How to improve the spraying accuracy is one of the hot spots for research on this equipment. This thesis studies on improving the spraying accuracy from the aspect of control method.Based on the asphalt spraying control principle, the thesis analyses factors which effect asphalt spraying accuracy, and builds the topological graph demonstrating the relationship between these factors. The deficiency in the control algorithm present is pointed out and the variable volumetric efficiency control algorithm is put forward in the thesis. The math formula is got through establishing asphalt pump mathematical model and the formula for calculating asphalt spray accuracy. Lastly, the asphalt spraying control system which based on the variable efficiency control algorithm is designed and the control system is developed by using CC System company's Cross Talk motion controller. The system's debugging and experiments are carried out on the software platform and the trial board, proving that the variable efficiency control algorithm has a remarkable effect on improving spray accuracy and the expected target is achieved by testing the control system.
