Urban traffic problem has been one of the important factors to restrict urban sustainable development in China. In order to resolve the complex traffic problem, many cities start drawing up the comprehensive transportation planning for guiding the urban transportation infrastructure constructed methodically and finally achieving the support and guidance function acted on urban development by traffic. For the relationship between traffic and land use, Urban comprehensive transportation planning and Urban master planning (hereinafter referred to "two planning") should be compatible for each other. However, our urban comprehensive transportation planning and urban master planning are often divorced from each other.Based on the above background, combined with the case of Penglai City, this Master thesis studied the integration between the "two planning", including:●Summarized the internal links between traffic and land use and investigated the significance of integrating urban comprehensive transportation and urban master planning.●Based on TOD(Transit-Oriented Development), studied how the comprehensive transportation planning integrating the city master plan of Penglai, divided into the following areas:(1)the urban comprehensive transportation planning promote the tourism function of Penglai City. (2) the urban comprehensive transportation planning lead the city develop along the EW(East-West) transport axis which concatenating the three parts of the city. (3)Transportation planning optimize and adjust the road network established by the city master plan. (4) Transport hub promote the New City Center's development.●Proposed number of tactics for integrating the "two planning".
