The construction of urban rail transit has important driving effects on the land use evolvement along the urban rail transit line(URTL). It is a decision support for subsequent planning, construction and development on the land use along the URTL to scientifically predict the trend of land use evolution after the urban rail transit construction and provide corresponding optimizing countermeasure. It also has important methodology and practical significance.The impact on the urban rail transit construction for land use evolvement along the URTL is the main research content in this paper. Based on related theory and practice of domestic and foreign analysis, the general law of land use evolution along the URTL is summarized and the optimizing countermeasure of land use along the URTL is proposed in this paper.First, the research background, purpose and overall framework were described in this paper. The related theory and practice of the relation between urban rail transit and land use were summarized. And the corridor effect theory, transit oriented development (TOD), domestic related experience of the land use along URTL and the general law of land use evolution along URTL were analyzed. Secondly, as Hefei No.1 URTL for example, the status quo of land use layout, land use constitution, land exploitation potential along the URTL were analyzed by circle analysis, comparative analysis and statistical analysis methods. Then the land use characteristics and problems along the URTL were concluded. Finally, according to the relevant theoretical and practical experience, from the angle of the harmonious development between the urban rail transit and land use, the optimizing countermeasure was proposed for the land use along the URTL.The study showed that: (1) There were many problems in the land use along Hefei No.1 URTL such as regional development distinction, low efficiency of land use, less development of underground space. (2) Different development strategies should be taken in the different sections, different types of land use optimization along URTL. The coordination with the surrounding land distribution, the increase of the intensity of land replacement and the development of underground space should be focused on in the old city zone along URTL. Taken TOD as the instruction, the land layout and land development intensity should be reasonably determined in the new urban district along URTL. And the efficiency of land use and land development intensity should be improved in the new urban district along URTL. (3) Different land utilization optimizing countermeasures should be taken in the different types of the stations.
