Research On The Three Dimensional-mathematical Model Of Echo Image Of Marine Navigation Radar Simulator

The application of marine navigation radar simulator, which not only improve radar navigation ability of navigators in maritime training but also save large cost, play a vital role in maritime education. However; as marine industry develops gradually, the simulator users require higher performance, and specific performance standard of marine navigation radar simulators is raised in the Amendment to STCW Convention.As the development of electronic computer technology, system modeling and simulation technology is applied to the field of national defense and economy and some other fields, and have become the main technical method in scientific research experiment. Although system modeling and simulation technology have been applied gradually in the area of radar simulator, there is no obvious improvement to simulated echo image. In this thesis, radar image is simulated by the application of system modeling and simulation technology, so as to expect to get better simulated image and effect. The following three parts will be included in this thesis.First, means of modeling and simulation of echo image in radar simulator will be brought forward with the help of the study of system modeling and simulation technology.Second, the creation of electromagnetic waves in three dimensional space. The display of real radar's echo image has direct relationship with radar electromagnetic waves and target characteristics. The electromagnetic waves mathematical model can be constructed reasonably on the basis of wave propagation, and the three dimens-ionnal-mathematical model of echo intensity can be established according to the features of radar target.Third, the generation of targets'echo image in marine navigation radar simulator by relevant algorithms with the use of the established echo intensity of electromagnetic wave mathematical model and three dimensional-mathematical model of echo intensity.
