With the continuing rapid development of the national economy, cars are gradually entering people's lives, at the same time, human have much higher requirements on motor vehicles'performance, environmental protection, energy, security, comfort and entertainment. In this paper, the writer set force of a new type of intelligent-vehicle information terminal of the above-mentioned characteristics. The terminal combines automotive electronics control systems and car information systems, it can provide for automotive navigation, communication, entertainment and other functions, but also can detect car running for the safety of car driving, provide protection fault analysis.First of all, introduced the development of intelligent vehicle information terminals the status quo, and the traditional vehicle for the problems raised in this paper the design of intelligent-vehicle information terminal structural characteristics, design ideas, and described the various components of the basic principles of modules.Secondly, a detailed analysis of the smart-vehicle information terminals, the overall composition and structure of the framework, intelligent vehicle ARM9 processor S3C2410 terminal to the main control module as a terminal to the embedded Linux operating system as a terminal software platform, the use of GPS positioning technology, has been the current vehicle position, velocity and time information; using GPRS wireless communication technology vehicles and control center or the exchange of information between vehicles; build a CAN bus control module, used to collect a variety of vehicles traveling on the state of information; through the fault detection real-time vehicle detection modules of the main technical parameters, the expansion of LCD display module, used to display vehicle position information, communication, information, and vehicle status information.Finally, from the hardware and software aspects, achieve an in-depth study of the functions of the terminal. In terms of hardware, the design of main control module, GPS module, GPRS module, CAN bus and the fault detection module of the interface circuit module; In terms of software, embedded software platform to build and realize LCD module and CAN bus module driven design, as well as GPS GPRS module and application module design, and this article summarized the results of research, as well as the outlook for the next step.
