Then study of its influence in space.In this paper, using the systematic analysis methods of thinking, detailed discuss the concept, history, properties, functions, structure, style and aesthetic significance of the walls in garden spaces. And at the same time, compare a number of examples both in ancient and modern landscape works, to explore how the walls to impact the spaces.The main line of this paper is the wall. First of all, make an overview of its emergence and development. Then, analysis the propertise of the wall, including physical attributes, functional attributes, spatial attributes , visual attributes,aesthetic significance and cultural expression. Finally, the wall will return to the space system, to explore the relationship between the wall and spaces and also the wall with other elements, such as buildings, terrain, water and plants.
