Quantitative Research On Space Of Yi Pu Garden

After thousands of years of historical evolution, Chinese classical gardens known for its rich spatial qualities, still has significant research value. The article try to apply more scientific method to analysis the space of Yi Pu Garden from different perspectives.Firstly, the space research of Yi Pu Garden in the article start from the basic concept of "space",discuss the three basic elements of space such as people, space and the relationship between people and space and parse out three levels that to discuss in this essay such as visibility space, spatial accessibility and spatial configuration for the space research of Yi Pu Garden. Secondly, under the guidance of the space syntax and prototype theory it obtains a related analysis data by making convex spatial model, the visual analysis model and the space equation. Finally, analyse the data that of the space of Yi Pu Garden,such as integration, selection, line-of-sight integration, line-of-sight control and space types, to understand Yi Pu from three levels. The three levels are:the space of accessibility, visibility and configuration. Finally, we begin to do research in the field of practice, take Su Zhou museum as the example to study the spacial system with the similar method. By analysing the museum to find some connections bewteen traditional Suzhou Grden and contemporary space practice.In general, in contemporary society how to interpret the traditional Chinese garden, it will be a long way we need to explore and solve. I hope that this study can provide a useful reference for future research.
