Series Research On Residential Area Building Progress Of Central Chongqing City In Recent 10 Years-Study On Residential Spatial Differentiation

Inhabitancy is one of city's most basic functions. City residential space is the basic space type of the society in cities and it is also an important function of the city's structure, whose evolution and differentiation is the important reflection of the change of social structure.Along with the development of community economy and the establishment of socialistic market economy system in China, obvious differentiation phenomenon appears in city inhabitation in the influence of socio-economic formation, the division of labor, the geographic division of labor, urban planning ideology, urban development manner, the inhabitant's microscopic individual behavior and their psychological characteristic and the historical inertia. These differentiation phenomena mainly display in the different ranks of residential districts for people with different economical positions. Superior positions are occupied by the high-income; the crowd of inferior economy and social position are isolated by mainstream society because of their weaker competitive abilities. The inhabitants live in identical position are obviously of homogeneity, and maintain highly uniformity with their habitation environment.With this background, this thesis studies on Chongqing city residential spatial differentiation, through the analysis of the characteristic of residential spatial differentiation phenomena. The evolution law and the spatial pattern of residential spatial division was discussed and a comparatively feasible plan and strategy for guidance and the development of Chongqing residential spatial division was explored.The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter 1 mainly elaborats the background, research significance, the relative conceptions of this topic research as well as the framework of the thesis and so on.Chapter 2 focuses on the thesis's fundamental research. The relevant domestic and overseas fundamental research was summerised and the variation process of city residential spatial differentiation in western countries and in China was reviewed.The part from Chapter 3 to Chapter 5 focuses on the demonstration research of Chongqing residential spatial differentiation. Firstly Chapter 3 summarizes urban development and inhabitation construction status of Chongqing city during the past 10 years, analyzing the present characteristic of Chongqing residential spatial differentiation phenomenon, and leads to a conclusion on residential spatial differentiation phenomenon by crosswise comparison.Chapter 4 discusses the impetus mechanism of Chongqing residential spatial differentiation from the angle of urban planning, urban economics as well as urban sociology, and summarizes the inhabitation differentiation space model.Chapter 5 firstly analyzes the influence of residential spatial differentiation on Chongqing urban development, followed by the propose plan and strategy based on the Chongqing residential spatial differentiation problems, which aims at making a guide for the reasonable development of residential spatial differentiation.The last chapter is the summarization of the thesis which makes a forecast on following research of residential spatial differentiation.
