Study On The Management Of Quality Control And Speed Control Over High-way Construction Project

Chinese high-way construction is booming, with the ever-increasing investment which is made in the great number of traffic constructions during the last decade. A challenge for the construction quality arises , with so many projects finished, for which all the circles in China are showing great concern.In the meanwhile, the control over construction speed(CCS) is one of the key items which should be strictly controlled in the high-way building since the construction contract should be fulfilled in the due time, all resources should be well utilized , and all the construction costs should be minimized.Speed and quality are contradictory to each other. This thesis emphasizes the mutual affects and coordinate relations between quality control(QC) and CCS upon condition that the costs are ensured. Here are 3 points to be discussed: (1) the definition of the quality control over highway projects: all the factors which can affect quality controls are discussed after the definition and the characteristics of the "high-way project quality" are explained and illustrated. (2) the definition of management of high-way construction speed. The thesis gives out the definition of the management of the construction speed, keeps a good control over the project by a series of proceeds and adjusts its speed, if necessary, so as to have the construction completed within the deadline stipulated in the contract. (3)the analysis of the coordinate relations between quality control(QC) and CCS. The thesis discusses the above relations on principle of complex systematic coordination, gives out a circular illustration of the coordinate relations between quality and speed , indicates directly the coordinate between them and induces the theory of "management of coordinate between the quality control and speed control".This thesis combines theory study and practice, by referring to related literature, and analyses the mutual affects and coordinate relations between quality control(QC) and CCS, so the thesis is of great value for management on highway projects and is of practical significance in the project management...
