Since Jinan Opens The Commercial Port, The Representative Building Studies

Since 2004 is the 100th anniversary of "opening as a commercial city" of Jinan, with a history of more than one hundred years Jinan's opening as a commercial city becomes a hot topic. In this background, this paper makes the study on the development, protection, inheritance and the feasibility of the coordination with the social development of the typical constructions of Jinan after Jinan's opening as a commercial city.This paper first reviews the relative references home and abroad and then makes careful study and comparison between them. On this basis, this paper argues that we should envisage the differences between East and West and should combine the characteristics of modern architecture and cultural background with China's actual situation in the process of the protection for the modern outstanding constructions, then try to fulfill the protection with our own Chinese characteristics. Then this paper analyzes the changes of Jinan's city's function and layout before and after the commercial city's opening and reviews the existing typical constructions of Jinan with different standards (the construction period, the building function, architectural art styles, construction techniques, etc.).On this basis, combining the relative studies home and abroad, this paper argues that the protection for the typical constructions needs a rational evaluation of the value system and principles. Then using the foreign evaluation criteria for reference and combining with the characteristics of Jinan city, this paper develops the evaluation guidelines for the protection for Jinan's typical constructions. This paper argues that in the process of the protection for the the typical constructions of the Jinan, we should conform to the following principles: Classification protection principles, the principle of authenticity, integrity principle and the development of principles.On the basis of analyzing the actuality and the problems of the protection for the existing typical constructions of Jinan, this paper argues that different constructions should be protected in different ways. Then this paper makes further analysis of the problems of the protection in situ conservation and ex situ relocation and argues that the typical constructions which still have function should be given scientific and rational development. Different methods of the development are also classified.Finally, this paper analyzes the various issues of the protection for the existing typical constructions of Jinan, and then combined with the case of Hongjialou Plaza's development, this paper gives some recommendations to the protection for the existing typical constructions of Jinan.
