Research On Tianjin "Xiaoyanglou" And Its Architectural Decoration

Decoration is one part of architecture. The style of architecture originates from architectural decoration to a large degree. Palace, residential, religious and other architectures all need delicate decoration.Tianjin is a typical city with combined Chinese-Western architecture culture. 140 years ago, western architecture culture came to this city together with western politics and economy. And then many western classic constructions were built in this ancient city, which became unique culture landscape of this ancient city. This thesis will make a research on Tianjin"Xiaoyanglou", which refer to various overseas architecture, including administrative institution, finance & commercial trade, leisure & entertainment, and a large amount of apartments, villas, garden residents, etc. They have European architecture styles, including Ancient Greek, Rome, Revival, Baroque, Rococo, etc. From them, we can acquaint ourselves with religious beliefs, custom fashion and thinking way, etc. of European countries. Tianjin"Xianyanglou"is typical excellence of Chinese-Western architectural and cultural combination.Basing on the research on Tianjin"Xiaoyanglou"and their architectural decoration, this thesis analyzes these historic architectures to enjoy their delicate appearance, comprehend their cultural meaning and present their human subject.
