Design And Realization Of The Remote Collect Meter Reading System Application For Low Voltage Power Users

There are many disadvantages in the traditional point-to-point manual meter reading mode: great intensity of labor, easy to leak or miss reading, man-made mistakes, inaccurate actual line loss reflection because of impossible synchronization meter reading, difficult power electric load forecasting and controlling, etc. In order to solve the problems, this paper designed and developed a collect meter reading system based on PSTN as the up line channel and the power line carrier as the down line channel.Firstly, after researching the design method of the meter reading system, the limitation of the electricity power management was analyzed and pointed out, and the excellence of the remote collect meter reading system technology was expatiated.Secondly, according to the technique indicator, the overall design of the system was given out. The design method and the principle of the electronic single phase carrier meter, the one-to-N collector and the concentrator were also given out. And the function demands of the meter reading management terminal software were discussed in details.Thirdly, the function modules were designed. The hardware and software design of the meter's electricity calculation module and the carrier commutation module, the concentrator's main control unit module, the power line carrier communication module and the Modem communication module were given out in details. And a topology model was built based on meter relay technology.Fourthly, an available meter reading management terminal software was designed according to the system. The main modules such as database management, remote Modem communication using PSTN and other relation modules and so on were designed in details.Finally, the testing and running situation of the system was introduced. The resolve methods of the problems in the process of debugging were given out. Also the application results were given out as well.Application results show that the remote collect meter reading system application for low voltage users based on power line and PSTN have realized the functions such as power calculation, carrier communication, data reading, data collect, data browsing and so on. The system has reached the design demands.
