Along with the development of the project of one resident and one meter in our country,the traditional meter reading can not satisfy the increasing demand of residents.With the worldwide low-voltage power networks,power line communication has an extensive practicability.Due to its mechanism intensity, security,and no need to re-invest,techniques of transmitting data via power line, developed in recent years,is used to automate the free collecting system in public service and the management of uptown service.In this article we offer a kind of extended frequency communication technique, which can greatly enchance success rate for carrier communication,in order to make the transmission reliability of data raise,and solve the problems of high code error rate for original system data,low anti-disturbance,and so on.This technique has not only high transmission rate for data,but also strong adaptability for bad environment. In this paper,after introducing the principle of SSC,design of hardware and software of the system are been discussed.The system has been put Into use,the result has proved its high stability and reliability.
