Research On The Pattern Of Tourism Village Dwellings On The Islands In Southern Liaoning Province

The suburb tourism has been becoming an important part of leisure time life style for our people, with the consistent development of economy and holiday system as well as the transportation situation around the nation. Tourism Economy has become the main force of rural economy and even the whole nation's economy. Under such a great circumstance, operation of home inn is becoming part of life for some of the fishing population. Meanwhile, it offers new income to improve fishing people's wellbeing. However, as the home inns increase, some problems emerge due to the lack of professional instruction. This paper does some research on fishing home inn in Changhai county of Dalian, which lies in the islands in southern Liaoning Province. The purpose of this paper is to offer reference and strategy to the residential pattern design for the tourism type villages of the islands in southern Liaoning Province, through real investigation into the tradition of the islands in southern Liaoning Province and the residential pattern of tourism type villages, incorporating theory research and practical analysis from both domestic and abroad.This paper starts from real world investigation, following the technical way of bringing forward the problem, choosing the field, analyzing the problem and solving the problem. It utilizes architecture theories and design method with combination of urban design, environment design, Ecology and Energy Conservation as well as sociology, psychology, aesthetics and so on. This paper investigates problems existing in design and usage of tourism type village dwellings on the islands in southern Liaoning Province. Meanwhile, it is based on interviews and material collection from the related local government of Changhai County, deducting the multi-level pattern language of the residence. The paper simulates the construction of the deducted pattern language, expecting to offer instructions for future tourism type dwelling design.This paper contains six chapters. The first chapter brings up the purpose, meaning, researching status and researching methods as well as theories of the paper. The second chapter introduces the development status and related theories of home inns, both domestic and abroad. In this chapter Santorini islands cottages on Aegean Sea, which have similar latitude with the islands in southern Liaoning Province, are chosen for comparison to inspire the design of dwellings on the islands in southern Liaoning Province. The third, fourth, fifth chapter are the main part of this paper. Chapter three investigates and analyzes the basic condition of village residence on islands in southern Liaoning Province, including natural environment, social environment, tourism resources, the traditional life style and tourism type life style as well as the wellbeing of the fishing people. Chapter four summarizes and deducts different pattern languages of their counterpart levels, which are derived from the investigation results. Chapter five follows the pattern language, and gives out optimum configuration to the residence model of the islands in southern Liaoning Province villages. It also designs and constructs models under specific design specification according to the multi-level pattern language. The sixth chapter is the conclusion part, and it summarizes the design method and criteria of tourism type villages in the islands in southern Liaoning Province.
