The Research Of Blended Contact Space Of Apartment Houses

Though it is the main type of urban residential quarters in China, the theoretical research on apartment house has not always been attached importance. However, the recent researching achievement only pays attention to the design of residential style and the integrated appearance design of apartment house, neglecting the demand for interpersonal interaction and the emotional binding in neighborhoods. The consequence is that it brings residents increasingly comfortable material life, but their spiritual life problems emerge out more frequently, lack of identification to their residential space and apathetical to intercommunication, then different social problems break up. Meantime, the theoretical research on public contact space pays main attention to the aspect of city and residential distinct, such as the improvement community facility and residential environment, research of internal apartment building has always been neglected. With the development of society this problem is more and more outstanding, then the importance of research on public contact space of apartment building comes out.With emphasis on the theotical support of environmental psychology, behavior architecture and architectural pattern language, the paper draws on the reseach method of spatial mode from behavior pattern, develops the therod of blended contact space through deepening contact space. Moreover, this new therod is applied to the research of contact space of apartment houses, in order to try a new way of developing the pattern of apartment houses to get the need of residents.The article can be divided into five parts.In the first part (charter 1) the article presents the project background, describes the object and contents, points out theoretical and emotional meanings.In the second part (charter 2) the article discusses theoretical principle including the performances of environmental psychology, behavior architecture and architectural pattern language.In the third part (charter 3) the thesis suggests the concept blended contact space and describes its properties and design principles. Moreover, this theory is applied to apartment building, both rational and emotional space mode of which has been summarized.In the forth part (from charter 4 to charter 6 ) the thesis describes respectly entrance, entrance transition and rooftop of apartment building based on blended contact space theory.
