| Highway transportation industry's safety has important influence on the quite austere traffic safety situation of China. Getting detail and applicable transportation accident information, and making statistical analysis of it, and that exploring the explicit and potential causation is useful for realizing the standardized administration and enhancing transportation safety. At present the transportation accident information gathering system in our country has some problem, such as that the storage and analysis of data are mainly depend on the artificial method to carry on, which results in wasting of time and energy, and makes analysis lack of accuracy, gathering manner hasn't criterion, moreover the information transmission rate and available rate lower. So to establish information gather and statistical analysis software of transportation accident is of great signification.According the safety management model of highway transportation and the management model of accident, this study first discuss the problem in the gathering of accident information, the managing of data and the statistical analysis of accident data. Combining with the relative criterion in transportation, the detail function of traffic management department in executing the policy of "San Guan Yi Jian Du ", and influence of vocational driver factor, vehicle factor, and others factor on transporting safety, make sure the gathering item of accident information, the function of accident data management ,and the analysis item of accident data.On the basis of above, applies Microsoft SQL Server to establish accident database, and develops this system on platform of PowerBuilder software. This system will not only convenient the data's managing, but also provide theory according for establishing and perfecting law and regulation, and enhancing the safety of transportation.
