In recent period, our country keeps a large scale in fixed assets investment, which brings a high need of construction field personnel. To satisfy this need, many universities build up civil engineering specialty, with its better employment prospect; become the special field that the masses of candidate of the university entrance exam is fond of. However when college expands , recruit with professional development course in, since educating teaching and the disequilibrium of resource level uneven not even, also make the horizontal good green bristle grass of graduate not even, social appraisement is different. Therefore regardless of is graduate choose a person for the job unit, still masses of candidate the head of family needs the installation condition for the special field of college civil engineering urgently, ran a school level and teaching quality have a objective reasonable appraisement.Since the coming 21 century, the advanced education of our country has entered a transit time from "elite education" to "popular education". After years of enlargement of universities, the emphasis of university education has transferred from scale enlargement to quality construction, each aspect of society the talent training quality for advanced education have put forward new higher requirement. The set of university specialty in a large scale embodies the capability of university deployment resources according to the request of market and discipline construction. The special level embodies fundamental discipline construction and long-time competitiveness.Specialty evaluation is a branch of university evaluation and has its unique research target, evaluation principles and evaluation methods. However, civil engineering evaluation is the practice of specialty evaluation patterns can be the basis of doing specialty setting, optimizing subject structure adjustment, choosing graduates for companies and choosing specialty (school). Evaluation of university's specialty can be divided into specialty adaptability evaluation research, specialty scale benefit evaluation research and specialty educating level research. These theses choose specialty educating level as research direction. This thesis explores methods specialty evaluation and index system by researching the development of civil engineering, under the guidance of tutor, using AHP method to build up a comparatively, easy, direct and easy-to-master specialty evaluation system. This thesis try best to offer a basis for the scientification and formalization of specialty evaluation to satisfy the need of market personnel appraisement, college itself appraisement, and students who took university entrance exam, to provide decision-making basis for reasonable disposition of education resource and make specialty evaluation from experience to science.
