| Automotive power steering gear is one of the most important components of the automotive steering system, which has been used in the motorcar and the truck. Its performance quality is the gist for reliability and safety of the automotive steering system. Test-bed is the special equipment for performance test of the power steering gear. The accurate, high efficient, stable test performance of test-bed is indispensable to steering gear measurement system, which is important equipment for producing and testing of the power steering gear.In this paper, after analyzing the theory of the power steering gear and the auto-industry criterion of China (QC/T529-2000 and QC/T530-2000), the performance measurement technology and method has been developed. The power steering gear test-bed's control system has been developed independently. The test-bed is based on the flexibility designing principle, which can accomplish capability tests and reliability tests of different kinds of power steering gears, according to the assemblage of sensors and mechanical equipment.The test-bed is based on hydraulic drive. The input and output of power steering gear can be drive by the hydro-motor and the hydraulic cylinder, so the steering wheel drive circuit and hydraulic cylinder drive circuit have been designed. In order to simulating work environment of power steering gear, the hydraulic servo circuit is designed. The hydro-motor and the hydraulic are feedback controlled depending on the signals of pressure, torque, angle and force, to satisfy steering gear's movement request.Based on Windows 2000, the software of measurement and control is successfully developed by the use of Visual Basic6.0. Parameter configuration module, measure module and control module have been designed by the use of building block design in the software. Parameter configuration module has parameter configuration according to different steering gear. Measure module has functions of data acquisition, data display, data save and data print. The hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinder and oil cup are controlled digitally in the control module. It has a strong function with the good man-machine interference.The measurement and control system is usually used in factories. There are many kinds of disturbing signals besides useful signal. In order to collecting signal precisely and reducing field interference, the software and hardware anti-interference methods have been designed according to the test requirement.The automotive power steering gear test-bed has been applied practically. The multiple function tests of power steering can be automatically realized by the test-bed with the good man-machine interference. It works steadily, and has high accuracy and high efficiency. |
