Research And Development On Control System Of Power Steering Gear Test-bed

Steering gear is the most important component of the automobile system. In order to verify its capability and quality, the power steering gear has to be tested on the test-bed. With the development of technology, we have to develop new type test-bed.In this paper, according to the auto-industry criterion of China (QC/T 529-2000 and QC/T 530-2000), the power steering gear test-bed's control system, which was based on industrial control modules, was developed after analyzing the theory of the power steering gear.This research has obtained the following innovative results.1 .According to the theory of the power steering gear, the collectivity structure of the test-bed was explained.2.After analyzing their function and performance, the hardware system of the steering gear test-bed's control system was designed, and the type of hardware was selected..3. The software was designed by means of C++ Builder an MS SQL Server 2000 on Windows 98 opera tion system.4.The test procedure of electronic power steering (EPS) based on the analysis of EPS' function was presented also.Finally, the conclusion and the developing trends of the steering gear test-bed and EPS are put forward.
