Pinion-and-rack power steering gear, which has great effects on automobiles’operating performance and people’s property security, is the very important part of automobiles. Therefore, high standards for its detection system is required. This paper mainly deals with the design of test system for the pinion-and-rack power steering gear.According to the requirements of 《QC/T529-2000Bench Test Methods for Automotive Power Steering Gear Assembly》 this test system mainly processes the pinion-and-rack power steering gear. Based on the structural features of steering gear, servo motor is elected to drive the input terminal of steering gear; hydraulic cylinder is applied to load simulation resistence on the output terminal of steering gear; sensors is used to test experimental datas, which are collected by multi-function data acquisition card and transferred to industrial computer. Those test datas by LabVIEW and MATLAB are processed, analyized and displayed in diagrams and are saved at last.According to the processed results of LabVIEW and MATLAB simulation we can know that this detection system can meet the requirements for the performance test of pinion-and-rack power steering gear. |
