The Research On GMDSS Module In Full Mission Navigation Simulator

The IMO pays much attention to the function of The simulator of GMDSS in the training and teaching that is reflected in the 《 STCW 95 convention 》. If we lead the simulator of GMDSS into the physically operation training , we can solute the conflict between more people and less equipments ,and have characteristics of vividly, efficiently and economy, and can objectively evaluate the result of training , and realize some Special functions which cannot be realized in sea,such as the distress alarm.In our country the most of the simulators of GMDSS belong to the single machine type,though they can connect with the network,connot establish the conjunction with the navigation simulator. Obviously, such the simulator of GMDSS connot imitate the whole process of the correspondence in search and rescue.This text developped the simulator of GMDSS on the foundation of the full mission navigation simulator .In the simulator the instructor station connects with the ship s tation b y n etwork, t he s imulation e quipments c an c ommunicate each o ther,the instructor station also can communicate with the ship station.The instructor of the simulator of GMDSS connects with the instructor of the navigation simulator by network. For this reason the simulator of GMDSS can obtain information of the ships from the navigation simulator real-time. In addition,the instructor software has the functions of designing exercises, inspecting the communication of the students, receiving all the record of communications and taking the gauge of the operation of the student etc. Because we lead the simulator of GMDSS into the navigation simulator , therefore we can make use of the navigation simulator carrying out the synthetical training of search and rescue and the trainingof BRM(Bridge Resource Management).This text detailes in introducing the total construction of the simulator of GMDSS ,and the constitute and functions of the instructor station and the ship station.For the key technique in the simulator -voice communication technique,which is alone regarded as one chapter and expatiated detailedly.At last ,the author also introduce the procedure design of a few typical simulation communication equipments.
