Application Of Software Engineering In The Development Of GMDSS Simulator

The main topic of this paper is the engineering development in software of GMDSS simulator. In the process of developing the GMDSS operation simulator,all simulation objectives are realized by software. The quality of the software has a direct influence on the simulation reality. As GMDSS simulator,the construction of software module is complex and the coupling between modules is close,these make many difficulties for developing software. Software engineering is an engineering subject that guides us to develop and to maintain the software. It adopts the conceppt, principle, technique and method of engineering and it integrates management technique with development technique correctly so as to develop high-class software,by developing the GMDSS simulator system. It included the contents as follows:1,The history of software development methods were discussed.,and through comparing these methods,select a best method which suitable for GMDSS simulator.2,Several kinds of software development model were introduced,so the model of GMDSS simulator'software development model was ascertained.3,Based on GMDSS simulator'software development model,taking MF/HF as a example,MF/HF simulation software was studied,according to the theories of requirement and software design. At the same time,the corresponding specification was formed.Then,it's code optimization.4,Testing plan and testing process were designed. Based on these,MF/HF was tested.. This process could be the demonstration for other module's development.
