Study On The Urban Fire-fighting Equipment Construction

This paper attempts to present us a thorough analysis of the major problems existing in the present urban fire-fighting equipment construction: ⑴Insufficiency of the water supply; ⑵The stagnant construction of the fire stations; ⑶The unclear passages for fir-fighting; ⑷Backwardness in fire-fighting communication; ⑸The inadequate equipment for fire-fighting; ⑹Lower rate of the qualified fire-fighting equipment in the buildings. To theses existing problems, the paper probes into the countermeasures to strengthen the construction of the urban fire-fighting equipment from the aspect of technical requirements. The specific measures we should take are: ⑴To work out the practical plans for the construction of the urban fire-fighting; ⑵Strengthen the water supply and make rational use of the water resources in the urban areas; ⑶Strengthen the construction of the urban fire stations, small-scale ones and specialized ones in the light of the particular conditions, and at the same time develop different fire-fighting forces; ⑷Strengthen the transformation and construction of the clear fire-fighting passages; ⑸Strengthen the construction of the communication facilities and develop the new technology of fire-fighting information; ⑹Strengthen the construction of the fire-fighting equipment to improve the ability of fighting fire and rescuing; ⑺Strengthen the construction of the fire-fighting equipment in buildings and improve the ability of self-defense. In order to promote the implement of the technical measures in the urban fire-fighting equipment construction, the paper points out that we should carry it out through ways of economy, administration, legality, and education. The paper present us its own point of view on the construction of the urban fire-fighting equipment from the aspects of more money invested, systems of responsibility, legal supervision, implement of the comprehensive enforcement of the laws, strengthening the sense of the fire-fighting and knowledge education. The paper analyses the existing problems of the environmental protection in fire-fighting through the practices of fighting fires, and puts forward the point of "Green Fire-fighting". It also raises some countermeasures to strengthen the environmental protection during the fight against fires, so that we can obtain a sustainable development.
