Along with the social economic developing, more and more large industry constructions advance the requirement to the fire fighting systems. The traditional automatic fire alarm system no longer fulfills the need of large scattered industry constructions. Therefore automatic networked fire alarm systems appeared. Although in our country there is no definite prescription about automatic networked fire alarm systems in relevant technical standards of automatic fire alarm, the system designing and product selecting will follow the principle demand of relevant national compulsory standards.According to the specific conditions of the industry plant construction and the owner's requirements to automatic fire alarm system, this paper analyzes fire risk in places where fire may result serious effect. Also it settles the method of automatic fire alarm and automatic fire fighting to protect these important sites. The paper introduces in detail the composing of fire alarm and fire fighting system in fire safety network in the plant, especially the constitutes in fire control center, and its controlling function to various fire fighting systems.Instead of the traditional mode of designing the automatic fire alarm system, the paper introduces a new thought and method in designing, thus the plan will be in favor of the further development, which is more practical and more economical. It adopts automatic networked fire alarm systems connecting four scattered workshops in the plant, so that the systems can be managed together as well as isolated from one another. As regards choosing fire detectors, the paper arises a practical scheme on the base of thoroughly considering the plant specialties. The newest fire protection technology has been combined with the reliable technology we have ever used, and it ensures the system's high performance and value ratio.The paper emphasizes the reason analyzing why foam fire fighting system should be used in hydraulic pressurizing station and lubricating oil storage underground. According to the fire risk of different locations, the paper brings forward a particular design on automatic fire alarm and fire fighting system to the important places such as hydraulic pressurizing station and lubricating oil storage underground, cable tunnel, transformer rooms, and computer rooms. The chosen of fire detectors in cable tunnel ensures the reliability in fire detecting and saves the cost; the installation of fire detectors solves the problem of easily damage when being examined and repaired.
