History districts, the city vitality as the sediment with the long history river, influence the survival of city's memory, while they are struggling in self protection and revival. Many solid facts show, that commercialization is an effective protection mode for history districts. And experience economy, a concept closely related with commercial success, reveals the booming of the experience design for the commercialization of history districts, which is based and leveraged on experience economy.Until now there is no mature theory framework formed yet, the utilization of experience design in history districts commercialization mostly roots from spontaneity and unconsciousness, while it is still in lack of theoretical support and guidance. In this paper, the initial explore of the experience design based on the experience economy, is taken, during the process of the history districts commercialization.In this paper, Chapter 1 analyzes the emerging background and driver of the history districts commercialization. Chapter 2 introduces the concept of experience economy and design, and at the same time analyzes their influence on the history districts commercialization and forms theoretical base of this paper. Chapter 3 summarizes the three main principles of experience design. Chapter 4 analyzes the main element of history districts in experience design. Finally Chapter 5 studies a real case, the experience design for the Commercialization of Guangren Street. The theory of experience design in the commercialization is explained with the practice.Experience design is not a fashion tag, but with the saturation to every corner of districts, it is an integral design mode and dynamic realization process.
