At the beginning of the 21 st century, high education in China steps into the deeper reformation and comprehensively progress. With the alteration of the high education strategy, structure and function, and the renovation of the educational pattern, old teaching buildings appears to be less efficiently. To face the new development, the teaching buildings are required improvement in some aspects by universities and colleges. In order to adapt to this new trend, a new design conception of integrative teaching buildings has come up. This new type teaching building can hold more departments, and can make it possible for students and faculties from different departments to communicate.Based on the overall analysis of the factors of the design of teaching buildings, I begin to elucidate the space among the teaching buildings, including the space in the buildings, the outer space of the buildings and the so-called gray space. Then, as the result of the survey and the analysis, the author draws the conclusion of the thesis.Considering the trend of the space design of integrative teaching building group, the author proposes several principles for design. Eventually ,the author hopes the article could contribute some innovation, guidance and direction in space design and its theory in the future .
