In recent years,with the rapid development of higher education,the teaching buildings in Colleges and universities bear not only simple and single teaching tasks,but also more comprehensive new requirements.In addition to its functional space,such as classroom,laboratory,conference room,etc.,there are non-functional space such as atrium,aisle,platform,etc.These non-functional spaces are paid more and more attention by people because of understanding and other reasons.The research focus of this paper is to redesign the easily neglected space in learning life around the user's psychological and behavioral needs,so as to make it meet the users' actual functional needs.Because the design of non-functional space is also the embodiment of the comprehensive strength of a university,the utilization of the space can reflect the humanistic thought of the school from the side.The design of non-functional space will become more and more active in the future,and non-functional space will not be easily ignored.In the process of theoretical analysis and practical investigation,this paper summarizes the design methods in space and the characteristics of user's psychological behavior,and designs the design process of non-functional space in Colleges and universities,which provides a reference for the follow-up design work.With the development of higher education,the design of non-functional space in Colleges and universities will gradually appear in the designer's vision.Concern in this field is in line with the needs of social progress,and more in line with the needs of improving the practical value,artistic value,humanistic value and environmental value of exploring University space for teachers and students.The difficulty lies in the fact that traditional functional design is the mainstream,the non-functional space of university teaching buildings is not taken seriously,the lack of reference for non-functional space design of university teaching buildings and the diversity of non-functional space designdetermine the uniqueness of the design.Based on the relevant literature theory,research results,design practice and other methods,this paper demonstrates and analyses the behavior patterns and psychological needs of non-functional space activists.Fundamentally,it makes the design of non-functional space in Colleges and universities more humanistic,meets the life and spiritual needs of campus activists,and lays a theoretical foundation for later design.
