To evaluate economic benefit of safety facilities is always a common issue that is always concerned by people in the field of transportation safety engineering and its correlation field. This article have analyzed and discussed problems in building the model of evaluating the benefit of safety facilities. According to the Xinjiang characters of nature, geography, humanities and from the manage actualities of Xinjiang high-grade Highway and the causes of traffic accidents, actualities and characteristic of benefit evaluation of safety facilities in this special region has been analyzed. Based on the purpose of setting different safety facilities on high-grade highway, many different analysis methods and the model-building process have been carefully studied. The model brought forward in this article has associated the issue of measuring single safety facility benefit. The model not only can be used to associate the issue of appraising benefit of high-grade highway safety facility in Xinjiang, but also can be used in the West China. In addition, the research methods of the article can also provide some useful reference for safety facility benefit analysis in the other parts of China.
