In recent years,Guizhou mountainous second grade highway traffic accidents gradually increased,mountainous highway traffic safety situation is becoming more and more serious,has become the focus of social concern.Based on the characteristics of the second grade highway in Guizhou mountainous area and the application of road and traffic engineering principle,this paper systematically analyzes the causes of traffic accidents of second grade highway by using system theory.This paper studies the influencing factors of the safety of the second grade highway in Guizhou mountainous area,and evaluates the safety influence degree from the aspects of highway design factors,traffic engineering and along the facilities,environmental factors and so on.Based on the influencing factors,this paper constructs the evaluation index system of the safety and security of the second grade highway in mountainous areas,and establishes the hierarchical structure model and the evaluation and analysis model of the safety and security project of the second grade highway.Based on the investigation of road characteristics and traffic characteristics of accidents,this paper takes the K1-K95 section of the S204 highway as an example,the concept and elements of new technologies for security engineering of second grade highway in mountainous areas are applied in combination with the concept of tolerance design.The evaluation and analysis of the improved results prove that the improvement effect is significant.
