The Active Elements Research In Architectural Image

The essence of architecture is visual art from some aspect. With the architecture exploring in many fields today, the relationship between architecture and visual psychology is going stronger. Many excellent architects pay more attention to using visual rules to instruct their design, so their works embody in strong visual effect. According to these, this article try to discuss the most impressionable part of architectural image, active elements, from the psychology field, so it will let us have essence consideration to the various forms.This dissertation is composed with four chapters. The beginning of two parts is talking about the understanding of active elements. At first, the article defines the active elements of architectural image, and analyses the psychology root of its emergence. Then the article adduces its historical and current represent, by using visual analyses, to explain its expressional characters. Through the analyses of many famous works' characters, the article wants to suggest the opinion of basic mode and theory of active elements. The end of tow parts is talking about the method of active elements. According to classifying and analyses of many typical manners in different successful buildings, the article suggests method and principle of common construction of active elements, then has a prospect of its developments. The purpose of this research is summarizing some useful rules of architectural image's active elements construction, then enlightening the innovation of architecture design, and widening the mind of analyses of successful works.
