Studies have shown that the occurrence of the accident and the urgent emergencies that the driver suddenly encountered are closely related. In the driver’s driving process, if they are not prepared for emergencies, or after an emergency, the driver can not observe the surrounding traffic environment, and the errors of judgment is likely to cause an accident. Therefore, the study of driver’s stress response in emergency situations have great significance in improving road safety. The study shows that 80% or more information i s obtained through the visual, so the research about the visual characteristics of the driver in stress response is an important part of the driver stress response.Through theoretical analysis and experimental verification, the visual characteristics of the driver at the time of the stress response were studied. The authors conducted a number of tests, through the using of Face LAB 5 eye tracker produced by Australia’s Seeing Machines company to the behavior of the driver’s eye movement tracking, collecting their eye movement behavior characteristics of the data, and in accordance with domestic and international research and the actual road conditions, for stress situations occur during the driver’s gaze region is divided. Then this paper analyzes the driver in the proving ground of stress scenarios eye movement at different speeds, the driver’s eye movements during normal driving conditions and driver stress scenarios in actual road driving eye movements, and The authors of these cases were compared to find out why the differences exist, the authors propose the driver’s information obtained subsequent efficiency, and according to statistical data, calculate the transition probability point of gaze in different areas, and try to explain the inter-regional This mode is useful for panning panning risk relationship. The results show that with increased speed, the fixation point to narrow the scope of its stress response, gaze far distances, and subjective risk increases, more ways to hedge using the brake. The driver in the face of a dangerous situation occurs when the stress response, which will be dramatic changes in physiological responses, eye movement speed, average speed glance, and was positively correlated with the degree of risk; will focus on the driver’s stress response occurs in response to Proving Ground The most important information needed to danger, that the left lane and the current lane information, so the information obtained is high efficiency; driver’s gaze point range in the stress response would be relatively fixation point on the highway while driving narrow range, and and similar to the stress response in the test site, the focus is only dangerous to deal with the most important information, ie left and right side of the lane and the left rear view mirror information. The research was sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation( 51178053), Chang Jiang Scholars and Innovative Team Development Plan Program of the Ministry of Education(IRT1286).
