Elevator plays an important role of transportation in skyscrapers aselectromechanical integrated equipment. It is also the indispensable part of buildingautomation. For the complex structure and the strict request for reliability, monitoringrunning status and fault information of elevator is significant to its management,maintenance and security operation. This thesis introduces the latest development of the remote monitoring system ofelevator and the comparison between domestic and international research anddevelopment in this field. A remote monitoring system for running status of elevator isdeveloped by network communication technology and database technology. Thesystem provides a convenient and vivid settlement for fault detecting, analyzing andremoving. This system is composed of Front Terminal and monitoring software on server.Front Terminal takes charge of sampling the signals of elevator status, fault andequipments. If any fault appears, Front Terminal informs the server. The universalproperty and compatibility has been carefully considered in hardware design of theFront Terminal. The system overcomes the difficulties that the companies have theirown code standards and communication protocols. The hardware design of the FrontTerminal can be adapted to the elevator controllers of any company without anychange, yet the program of communication protocol interpreting should be replaced.Monitoring software on the server is developed by Visual Basic. The monitoringinterface in the software displays the real time running status of elevator with dynamicpictures and the running parameters. The information of the latest ten groups runningstatus and faults can be inquired in fault database by the interface for fault judging andinformation displaying. Thus it is easier to analysis fault causes and clear fault. Front Terminal and server communicate by public telephone network. And theytogether accomplish the function of monitoring real time running status of elevator. |
