As the belt conveyor is developing towards long distance, heavy load, high speed and reliability, the dynamic analysis and design on the belt conveyor has become an urgent problem.This thesis uses finite element analysis method to establish a dynamics model of the belt conveyor according to comparing and analyzing all kinds of the existed dynamic design theories. Then the dynamic design software of the belt conveyor is developed on the basis of it. The first part of the software is developed in Visual Basic and the second is developed in Matlab. The system is easy to operate and has higher intelligentization. We can get the parameters of any position of the belt conveyor and use the two-dimension and three dimension figures to display them.
