Belt conveyors can transport different kinds of materials and can be used in a variety of industries.In recent years,the carrying capacity of belt conveyors has been continuously improved and the transportation distance has been continuously increased.Therefore,the difficulty of designing and manufacturing of belt conveyors has been gradually increased.The transient process of the conveyor will have a certain influence on the conveyor.The transient process of the conveyor treated as a rigid body will cause the accuracy of dynamic analysis to be insufficient.Therefore,it is necessary to treat the conveyor as a viscoelastic body to study its transient process.At present,the dynamic calculation software of belt conveyor is mainly used to solve the dynamic parameters of the belt conveyor in the transient process.Therefore,the development of the dynamic calculation software of belt conveyor plays a key role in the dynamic analysis of belt conveyor.The belt is equivalent to Kelvin-Vogit model and the influence of motion related parameters is considered.The dynamic model of starting and braking conditions of belt conveyor is given.The dynamic model of the reverse stop condition is constructed.According to different working conditions,the dynamic models of belt unit,tension device,driving installation,braking device,check device and roller unit are combined,The dynamic equation of the system is obtained.According to the characteristics of the system dynamic equation with variable stiffness,variable damping and variable input force,the dynamic equation is solved by using the wilson-θ method,and the inverse problem of dynamic process is solved by using the power tracking method.This method can be used to solve the dynamic equations in the starting,braking and reverse processes.Based on the dynamic model and solution algorithm of belt conveyor system,a software for analyzing the transient process of belt conveyor starting and braking is developed by using VB.NET programming language.The engineering data are stored in SQL database and connected with the software.The calculation results are output in the form of data table and image.The dynamic analysis of 8.7km belt conveyor in the project of coal ash two-way transportation of belt conveyor from open pit mine to power plant is carried out by using the developed analysis software of belt conveyor starting and braking transient process.The driving force curve,tension curve of each point,speed and displacement curve of starting process and braking process are obtained.Through the comparison with the data provided in the project,the correctness of the software compilation is proved.Aiming at the problem of whether the conveyor belt moves in the reverse direction in the backstop process under the condition of free stop and the critical condition of the conveyor belt in the reverse direction is given,The results show that the speed of the head and tail of the conveyor increases sharply at first,then tends to be stable,and the tension device has a"negative" displacement.
