As an important material conveying belt conveyor equipment,in recent years,Belt conveyor is widely used in many fields.In order to better adapt to the changing delivery requirements,types of belt conveyor are more and more,more and more powerful.Conveyor with horizontal curves is a type of the conveyor developed rapidly in recent years.But during the conveyor with horizontal curves runtime,the belt usually can't stay at the centered position,but with a certain offset.Reasonable design can reduce the offset.calculating the offset,is a key step in design of belt conveyor with horizontal curves.This paper take the 5-pulley idlers belt conveyor with horizontal curve as the research object,through analyzing the force of the conveyor belt,get the force balance equation on corner;Get the relation equation of gravity distribution coefficient by analying the cross section of the material.Combined with the equations and calculate the offset of the material inside and outside,and then calculate the offset of the conveyor belt.For 2-pully idlers,3-pully idlers,4-pully idlers the calculation method of the offset on turning period are similar to 5-pully idlers,just geometric shapes different.Research belt conveyor geometrical model of space curve,breaking the traditional slope on a round orbit model,to simplify it into the cylinder surface run space curve,the essence of the space curve is intersecting line of two cylinders.Two cylinder equation determined by the horizontal turning radius of curvature and the vertical bending curvature radius.Analysis space curve,the corresponding functional equations are obtained,then analyses on spatial turn period on the conveyor belt,and finally it is concluded that spatial turn the calculation method of the deviation of the belt.Developing the turning belt conveyor design and caculation software system by Visual Basic,through the system can accurately and effectively calculate the offset of conveyor belt,and reflect the effects of various parameters on the offset.The result can be output in the form of a word document,the output can be the design data also the whole design system interface which is convenient for designer to post-process the design data.Design calculation system enables designers to the tedious manual calculation,shorten the working cycle,improve the work efficiency and create more economic benefits.
