The master MCU of common rail diesel ECU are wide range of structural differences and fast updated, so there are many difficulties of transplanting ECU basic software between different MCUs. Common rail diesel ECU software architecture--K2SAR, which was based on the automotive electronics solutions of AUTOSAR software architecture, was proposed to solve this problem. The portability, code and function security of ECU software between different types of MCU were improved. It is important to reduce software development costs, shorten software development cycle and ensure software quality.The demand of common rail diesel ECU basic software was analyzed according to the theory of hierarchical and modular AUTOSAR software, and the common rail diesel ECU software architecture system of K2SAR was constructed.1) K2SAR architecture software system was developed in self-developed ECU system (with Infineon TC1728 MCU) and the development process of basic software and application software of K2SAR was designed.2) In K2BSW hierarchy:the double criteria of determining engine phase based on the signal segment of crank gap and camshaft gears was proposed. And the concept of engine phase angle based on the crankshaft or camshaft was put up for achieving precision injection timing and engine speed calculating. The embedded real-time operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ was transplanted to providing system services for K2BSW and K2 APP. In K2APP hierarchy:the control model of K2APP was established based on MATLAB/SIMULINK, which was successfully transplanted to the ECU upper strategies.3) In real-time running environment K2SAR (K2RTE) layer:tasks of K2APP were divided and the coordinator of K2BSW was scheduled as a task to K2RTE. All tasks of K2RTE were integrated in embedded μC/OS-Ⅱ to generate executable ECU.4) After the test of hardware in loop, an experiment was carried out on the common-rail diesel YN33CRD bench to verify the integrity and implementability of K2SAR architecture.The results of HIL and bench test show that:1) the common rail diesel ECU software architecture of K2SAR containing K2APP, K2RTE and K2BSW is well portable and implementable, and the architecture was function integrity and module effectiveness; 2)the effectiveness of module function including assessment of the of the crankshaft and camshaft signal, the engine phase tracking, the drive of peak-hold injection solenoid valve and speed measurement are valid, especially, the precision of fuel injection timing can be 0.022° CA; 3) K2APP architecture consists of the basic functions of the common rail diesel control. Start up-idle process control and cold start up of engine based on K2SAR is smooth, and rapid acceleration-rapid deceleration is stable.
